NEW
MANAGEMENT This is the Landlord and Landlady, Tim and
Alison Haworth. Tim and Ali took over running the Bear Inn
on the 4th November 2005. Tim is the drinks-puller whilst the food is being ably prepared by
Adam the new chef. Alison is the person really in charge whilst the
eldest children keep the place ably-served. |

CELEBRITIES
We are getting a few famous people through our
doors, the most recent being former World Boxing
Champions Alan Minter & Charlie Magri. Here they
are with local Boxing Coach John Houston, enjoying
some Bear hospitality. They may look "hard", but
they left sharpish, when they heard 50 women were
arriving for ladies night ! |

SAFARI SUPPER
The Safari Supper happens once a year and
causes a stir throughout the village. The last theme was a Roman
Evening. This year's theme will be the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
Last Year's was a Roman evening . The safari supper always ends
in a party at the Bear at Home Inn. |

THE BEER GARDEN
New Beer Garden overlooking the
cricket pitch has just come into being allowing patrons to
enjoy the summer outside. This allows patrons to enjoy
village events such as cricket and the Village Fete, one of
the villages most treasured yearly events. The barbeque is
the perfect summer treat. |

LADIES' NIGHT
Once a month at the Bear at Home Inn
the ladies of the village get together and one of the locals
comes in to the kitchen to cook a speciality meal. Here is
big Ben preparing his particular culinary delight. It could
be your turn next. |

THE LOCALS
The Locals are a friendly bunch giving good
patronage every year throughout the year. We serve all sorts
though as you can see from the pictures. Does anyone know
who this is? |

|
DRESSING UP
Why do people like dressing up? Goodness
knows. The Bear at Home has several events throughout the
year where customers are encouraged to dress up and take
part in the fun and games. This game looks like shoot the
bear, my bet is on the bear! |

TEXAS
HOLD'EM
The bunch of locals shown are some of the
Texas hold-'em card-playing team who play regularly and are
often found near the bar on a Thursday evening. We have
regular tournaments which are enjoyed by our resident card
sharks and the amateurs alike. |

OUR NEW
MURAL
A local Artist Christina Affholder has produced a wonderful mural for us in the driveway.
Even if you don't enjoy good beer, fine wine, & home cooked food,
it's worth coming along just to see "The Bear" ! |

BARBEQUE
Adam, pictured left, lights a mean
barbeque. The barbie is in business during the summer months
and the smell of smoking coals drifts over the garden area
enticing you to claim your share. Followed by a Movenpick
ice cream, the perfect way to spend a summers day. |
